Missed a Ozempic dose?

Enter your last dose and see exactly what the Ozempic label says to do now, with your own dates.

Working it out…

This repeats the FDA label and works in your browser; nothing you enter is sent anywhere. It isn't medical advice. If your prescriber told you something different, follow them, and ask your pharmacist if you're unsure. Sthira works this out for you automatically from your dose log.

What the Ozempic label says

Missed a dose
Take it as soon as you can within 5 days of when it was due. After that, skip it and keep your usual day.
Moving your dose day
Fine, as long as there are at least 2 days between the two doses.
Out of the fridge
Before first use, keep the pen in the fridge. After first use, it lasts 56 days at 59–86°F or in the fridge. A single-dose syringe can be kept at 46–86°F for up to 28 days.
Insulin or diabetes pills
Also taking insulin or a sulfonylurea (like glipizide or glimepiride)? The label warns that low blood sugar is more likely, and your prescriber may lower those doses. Know the signs: shakiness, sweating, a fast heartbeat or confusion.
