Working it out…
This repeats the FDA label and works in your browser; nothing you enter is sent anywhere. It isn't medical advice. If your prescriber told you something different, follow them, and ask your pharmacist if you're unsure. Sthira works this out for you automatically from your dose log.
What the Saxenda label says
- Missed a dose
- Skip it and carry on with the next one; never double up. After 3 days or more without it, the prescriber restarts at a lower dose.
- Out of the fridge
- Before first use, keep the pen in the fridge. After first use, it lasts 30 days at 59–86°F or in the fridge.
- Insulin or diabetes pills
- Also taking insulin or a sulfonylurea (like glipizide or glimepiride)? The label warns that low blood sugar is more likely, and your prescriber may lower those doses. Know the signs: shakiness, sweating, a fast heartbeat or confusion.
