Side effects

Sulfur burps on a GLP-1. What helps.

  • Eat smaller meals, more slowly.
  • Cut back on fizzy drinks, and notice whether eggs, red meat or cabbage-family vegetables make it worse.

Call your doctor if: Burping comes with severe stomach pain or vomiting.

Don't change or skip a dose on your own. If side effects are hard to live with, ask your prescriber; they can adjust your plan.

Get urgent care for severe stomach pain that won't go away (it may spread to your back), vomiting so you can't keep fluids down, fainting, signs of an allergic reaction, or a lump or swelling in your neck.

General self-care, based on the 2025 GLP-1 nutrition advisory and the medicines' patient information. Not medical advice.

Is it tied to your dose day?
